The Edward Meller Bridal Collection: For Every Step Towards I Do

For several seasons, we have been quietly working on something special: a bridal collection that brings the Edward Meller approach to design, craftsmanship, comfort and fit to one of life’s most memorable occasions.

The result is Edward Meller Bridal, a considered collection of shoes and accessories designed not only for the bride, but for every woman celebrating alongside her.

Designed for Every Kind of Bride

No two brides are the same, and neither are their wedding days. Some are searching for a timeless white pump to disappear elegantly beneath a gown, while others want a barely-there sandal, a statement heel or something they know they will wear long after the celebration is over.

Two pairs of high-heeled shoes arranged on a parquet floor beside a sheer embroidered veil.

This understanding guided us as we developed the collection over several seasons.

We explored different silhouettes, heel heights, textures, and finishes, with a particular focus on lace and delicate mesh. These softer, more intricate materials bring a distinctly bridal quality to the collection while still feeling modern and refined.

Pointed toes also became an important part of the edit. Their elongated silhouette works beautifully beneath long gowns, creating an elegant line and allowing just the right amount of the shoe to appear as the bride moves.

The collection includes both closed and open silhouettes, from classic pumps and slingbacks to more delicate sandals. While white naturally plays an important role, we did not want bridal footwear to be limited to one colour. Soft nude tones and luminous metallics offer beautiful alternatives, particularly for brides looking for something versatile enough to wear again.

A Collaboration with Sonia Cappellazzo

For our Bridal campaign, we had the pleasure of working with Australian designer Sonia Cappellazzo, pairing the collection with her extraordinary couture gowns.

Working with Sonia also gave us an opportunity to learn more about the bridal industry and, importantly, the wants and needs of modern brides. From the way different shoes sit beneath a gown to the importance of proportion, heel height and comfort, the collaboration reinforced something we had believed from the beginning: there is no single formula for the perfect bridal shoe.

A wedding dress is incredibly personal. The shoe underneath it should be too.

The campaign brings these two worlds together, showing how different footwear silhouettes can transform and complement a bridal look – from understated and timeless to modern and statement-making.

Beyond the Bride

While the bride sits at the heart of the collection, a wedding is a celebration shared by many.

Our Bridal collection also includes styles selected for bridesmaids, mothers of the bride and groom, and wedding guests, recognising that each woman is looking for something slightly different.

For bridesmaids, that might mean an elegant neutral or metallic heel that complements the bridal party without feeling overly traditional. For mothers of the bride and groom, refined pumps, slingbacks and lower heels offer elegance with comfort and support. For guests, the collection extends into sophisticated occasion shoes and accessories designed for celebrating.

Made for More Than One Day

Perhaps most importantly, we never wanted to create shoes destined to be worn once and returned to their box. Every style has been considered with life after the wedding day in mind.

A nude pump can return to a wardrobe for dinners and events. A metallic sandal can be worn throughout summer. An elegant slingback can move effortlessly between weddings, celebrations and evenings out.

It is an approach that feels true to Edward Meller: beautiful shoes should not only look exceptional, they should feel good to wear. Comfort, fit and support remain at the centre of the collection, because a wedding day is a long day – and the right shoes need to carry you through every part of it.

From the first photographs to the final dance, they are designed to be lived in, celebrated in and loved well beyond the occasion.

For the bride. For the bridal party. For every step towards I do.
