Consumer Guarantees
As a consumer, you are entitled to certain guarantees in respect of goods purchased from Edward Meller. Our returns policy does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and you have consumer guarantees that cannot be limited by us.
Where to return a faulty item
The retailer you purchased from is responsible for managing faulty-item claims.
Purchased from Edward Meller
If you purchased your item from edwardmeller.com.au or an Edward Meller boutique and believe it is faulty, defective, or does not match its description, please email us or call 1800 771 466. You may also return the item to an Edward Meller boutique.
Our boutiques can accept items you believe may be faulty, but faulty assessments are not performed in store.
Purchased from a stockist
If you purchased an Edward Meller product from a stockist, such as David Jones or THE ICONIC, please contact the retailer directly. As the retailer you purchased from, they are responsible for reviewing the item and determining any remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Faulty Items
If a product has a fault in its materials or workmanship, you may be entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.
Consumer guarantees do not generally apply where a problem has resulted from misuse, accidental damage, improper care, negligence, normal wear and tear, or the natural deterioration of colours and materials over time and use.
If a product has a major problem, you may choose a refund or replacement. If the problem is minor, we may choose to repair the item. If a minor problem cannot be repaired within a reasonable time, you may be entitled to a replacement or refund.
We require proof of purchase before providing a remedy. This may include a receipt, order confirmation, or other valid proof of purchase. Faulty products can be returned within a reasonable timeframe, taking into account the nature of the product and the expected lifespan of the goods.
Seconds and sample products
Seconds and sample products are sold with any known faults or imperfections identified at the time of purchase. These known faults are not grounds for a return or remedy.
However, if a seconds or sample product develops a separate fault that was not disclosed at the time of purchase, it may still be covered by the Australian Consumer Law.
